JAYâThe North Country girls hockey team opened the 2015 postseason by hosting the Brattleboro Colonels at the Jay Peak Ice Haus on Wednesday night.
Having not played a game in a week the girls were a little rusty in the opening period, but fro the final thirty minutes they picked up their tempo and came away with a 5-0 win to advance to the semifinals on Saturday night.

Mark Breen, a meteorologist at the Fairbanks Museum in St. Johnsbury, said Tuesday that the coldest February was in 1934 when the average temperature was 6.1 degrees.
