Derby Board Of Selectmen: Three Challengers For Open Seat

After former selectman Laura Dolgin unexpectedly resigned her seat earlier this summer, three Derby residents decided to throw their hats in the ring for the position. Lisa Boskind, Maureen Fountain, and Perry Hunt all would like the opportunity to serve the town.

Hazardous Materials Training Scheduled For September

NEWPORT CITY – The Newport City Fire Department will be one of several agencies to take part in a training workshop next month.

Cornelius Arrested On Charge Of Violating Abuse Prevention Order

Christian Cornelius, the Newport man wanted for allegedly violating an abuse prevention order, turned himself into to police Wednesday morning.

Cornelius is the man who stabbed his former friend, Isaac Hunt, in the leg on July 5 in Newport.

North Country Career Center: First ‘Megatronics’ Program In New England

Glover Ambulance Squad Looks For $16k For Life Saving Machine

Glover Ambulance Squad has launched a fundraiser aimed at collecting close to $16,000. This money will go to the purchase of a LUCAS CPR machine to benefit the lower region of Orleans County.
