Glover Ambulance To Ask For First Appropriation In Four Years

February Could Be Coldest Since 1934

With the thermometer often well below zero, this February is shaping up to be the coldest in years.
Mark Breen, a meteorologist at the Fairbanks Museum in St. Johnsbury, said Tuesday that the coldest February was in 1934 when the average temperature was 6.1 degrees.

Move To Eliminate Small School Funding Would Cost Over $1 Million

The Vermont Legislature’s House Education Committee is considering a bill that would eliminate small school funding on the basis that the grant is redundant. If the bill is enacted into law the Orleans Central Supervisory Union (OCSU) and North Country Supervisory Union (NCSU) would lose $480,459 and $684,087 respectively in FY’16.
