Bellows Falls Starts Hot, Defeats North Country 41-13

September 21, 2014

NEWPORT–To say the last two weeks have been interesting ones for the North Country Falcon football team would be a bit of an understatement.
First, they put to bed a two-year winless drought when they defeated the Lyndon Institute Vikings in the Maple Barrel Bowl.
Less then a week later they were forced to cancel their game against Burr and Burton because of an outbreak of Hand Foot and Mouth Disease, which also caused practices to be scrapped as well.

"This is the level that we play at, the Metro, and we know that we have to play up to that level," said NCU coach Jose Batista. "I think having a week off didn't help us, I don't care what anybody says, that game would have helped us, but we didn't have it and it was nobody's fault."
