ST. JOHNSBURY–The St. Johnsbury Hilltoppers got scoring from four different players as they defeated the North Country Falcons 4-0 in the opening round of the 2013 Vermont boys high school soccer post-season.
The Falcons battled hard, but the talented Hilltoppers were just too much for them on this day.
"The senior's played their hearts out, just like I expected them to," said NCU coach James McKenny talking about his elder statesmen who played in the final game of their North Country career.
He went on, saying, "This is a tight, small group, and they went down with a fight. It is tough to out-gun a talented group, so hats off to St.J."
