Payeur–– Bernard Samuel, 90, of Derby passed away August 28, 2011 in Newport.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011 at St. James the Greater Church in Island Pond with the Rev. Frank O’Connor celebrating a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Island Pond with full military honors. Friends may call on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral. Should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Vermont, 300 Corner Stone Drive, Suite 128, Williston, VT  05495.
