NEWPORT- A new security system is now in place at the entrance to North Country Career Center (NCCC) where students, school personnel, and visitors must pass to access the center and high school.
The system was first used by the high school for students who arrive late or leave early from class.
Interim NCCC Director Eileen Illuzzi said the system is used to make sure that no one with a criminal background that precludes them from being on campus, or someone with a restraining order in effect, will be allowed entry.
To read about the new security measure, see Tuesday's edition of the Newport Daily Express for Feb. 12, 2013.
