A group of students recently tested for their Yellow Belts in Tae Kwon Do at Dunlavey’s Black Belt Academy in Newport. The students were tested on their verbal knowledge, technical skills, memorized patterns, self defense, sparring and board breaking in front of a panel of Black Belts. Prior to receiving their new belts the students had two weeks to learn the definition and pattern of their new belt.
For more information about Dunlavey’s Black Belt Academy which offers classes for ages 3 and up, three nights per week, please call Master Rick Dunlavey at 279-4847.

Congrats! My son has recently started his trials and I think he's doing good, too, but not as good as these little fellows... yet :) I think self-defense is absolutely crucial nowadays so that's a good idea to send a kid to learn Tae Kwon Do or some other Asian techniques.
