JAY-North Country was without two key forwards when they hit the ice on Saturday morning to take on the Rutland Red Raiders, but coach Claude Paul made the necessary adjustments, and the Falcon girls came away with the 3-0 win to improve to 9-3-1 this season.
"I thought we played a disciplined, defensive game... after the first," said coach Paul after the game. "I liked the way the D played and I liked the way we were moving the puck up the ice quickly."
Hopefully the temperature will be a little warmer this Wednesday (-18 was super fun last week), as Stowe makes the journey up to another one of the many great ski communities Vermont has to offer for a 6:00 showdown with the Falcons.
