BURLINGTON-The North Country Falcons and Stowe Raiders took at 0-0 tie into the second half of Wednesday's Division III field hockey semi-final, and although both teams would score in the second, it would be Stowe emerging as the victor, outscoring North Country 2-1 in the game's final 30 minutes.
Stowe got up 2-0 on goals by Ricki Haab and Mariah Barrows before NCU's Alex Bussiere scored with 2:35 left in regulation to cut the lead to 2-1.
North Country continued to press, but would be unable to find the equalizer, and now Stowe moves on to the finals on Saturday against top-seeded Bellows Falls.
