Fishing Season Opens In The Kingdom

April 13, 2014

Opening day of fishing season combined with a warm and sunny day brings out the fishermen. Here on the banks of the Willoughby River just below its famous falls Jarrod Grenier of Lyndonville is casting for steelheads. The current is strong, the water cold, leaving the prospect of reeling in a fish moving up the river to spawn uncertain. “That’s why we call it fishing, not catching,” lamented Grenier.
