JAY – Jay Peak Resort is getting ready to take down one of its last old buildings and replace it with larger, more modern structures.
The Stateside Chalet is slated to come down. In its place will go a 67,000 square foot hotel with 84 rooms, along with a restaurant and a  22,000 square foot day lodge with ski and rider services including a new rental shop. The development footprint will span from the current stateside chalet location to the ski patrol building.
The chalet building will come down at the end of April, with construction to follow. A good-bye party for the Stateside Chalet is scheduled for this Saturday, April 6, from 3-7 p.m. There will be live music, a grill, and picnic tables.
