ORLEANS-North Country's Katie Goulet took home home the individual top spot, but it was the Lake Region team coming in first place at the Orleans Country Club on Thursday afternoon.
Goulet shot a match-low of 45, but the Lady Rangers' Olivia King (48) and Celeste Lussier (49) were right behind her and combined to score a 97 to give the host team the win.
Becky Doucet had a season-best score of 60 for Lake Region.
North Country's Paige Gagnon shot a 57, which along with Goulet's 45 gave the Falcons a team score of 102.
Tanika Demers came in with a 64, while Lindsey Brownfield also played for the Falcons.
Said NCU Coach Brian Hampton, “Overall the team has done well, all the coaches, Bob Dunn, Roger Cartee, and I are proud of the results of their hard work.”
Looking ahead, Katie Goulet will be tough to beat in the play-offs if she continues going the way she is going, and Lake Region, who played a Metro schedule this year, has chance to be a top-three team in the Division two play-offs.
