CRAFTSBURY–The Lady Chargers jumped out to 20-4 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, defeating South Royalton 46-24 to finish the year with a 16-4 record, good for the number three seed in Division IV.
"We like to come out and defend the home court, especially when a team is coming in from a far distance," said CA coach Rick Thomas. "We like to hammer those bus legs. We are a pressing team, that is what we have become and that is how we play the best."
With Cabot and Poultney posting winless seasons, it remains to be seen if they will venture into the play-offs, but if they do not, that leaves fifteen teams looking to add a title banner to their respective gymnasiums. Pairings will be announced this week.
