LR Baseball Moves to 3-1

Lake Region's baseball team picked up two wins late last week to improve their record to 3-1.
On Thursday, the boys traveled to Danville, where they earned a hard fought, 11 inning 4-3 win over the Indians.
Alex Menard, Dustin Bathalon and Logan Harper each doubled for the Rangers, while Matt Messier improved his hitting streak to 3 games in a row. 
Messier started the game, going 6 innings and allowing two runs. Logan Harper came in for relief for 4 innings to get the win, and Isaac Sweeney earned the save.
On Saturday, Lake Region won a high scoring affair against Winooski 12-10.
Dustin Bathalon earned his first varsity baseball win, going 5 innings and giving up 4 runs on 3 hits and 5 strikeouts. 
Alex Beauregard came in for the save striking out two batters in the bottom of the 7th.
 Josh Locke was 3-5 with a RBI, and Bathalon helped his cause going 2-2, with 2 walks and a RBI. Sam Barbeau went 2-5 with 3 RBI.
Next up for the Rangers is a home game against Peoples Academy on Tuesday at 4:30.
