JAY–North Country improved on their last performance against Stowe, adding an additional goal to their total, as they handed the Raider girls a 3-0 loss on Wednesday evening.
"I thought the first period was good as we set the pace. The second period, between all the penalties for both teams, I thought we never got into a rhythm, and in the third I thought we picked it back up," said NCU coach Claude Paul.
This is the second consecutive win over a team called the Raiders for North Country, as they disposed of the Rutland Red Raiders by an identical 3-0 score on Saturday.
Mikaella Doran recorded her second straight shut-out, the seventh of the season for the freshman netminder, as she turned away fifteen shots in the win.
Danielle Mayo blocked an outstanding 37 shots in the loss for 3-8 Stowe.
Friday's game will take the 10-3-1 Falcons down to Middlebury where they will face the Tigers at 4:45.
