NEWPORT City - The Emory Hebard State Office Building went into lockdown yesterday after police responded to a report of a man making threats to kill a police officer. Newport City Police and the Orleans County Sheriff's Department responded to the Emory Hebard State Office Building just before 3:30 p.m. after they received a call that Eric Snyder, 49, of Westfield, was making threats outside the Department of Motor Vehicles office.Story on Page one of Tuesday's Newport Daily Express for Sept. 10, 2013.
