NEWPORT CITY – Did members of the Development Review Board expose themselves and the city to a possible lawsuit when they issued a conditional permit to construct a convince store, restaurant, and gas station on the corner of Main Street and Third Street?
The city council will address that at its meeting Monday, Oct. 7.
The permit includes razing the Newport One Stop, a neighboring office and a residential building. The board issued the conditional permit during a public hearing earlier this month.
