Nordic Falcons Flourish at Mt. Hor.

WESTMORE–With perfect weather conditions and lightly falling snow to accent the mood, the North Country Nordic teams had a great day at the races on Saturday.
The Falcon girls won the race with a score of 22, besting hosts St. Johnsbury and two other teams to earn the win. The NCU boys came in third with a score of 49 behind St. Johnsbury in first and Burlington in second.
The varsity girls had 5 racers who finished in the top ten. Lindsay Cotnoir was the first NC girl to cross the line, coming in 3rd place and was followed closely by Erika Fortin in 4th. Stephanie Watson, Jade Dandurand, Adele Woodmanse rounded out the top five for North Country as they finished in successive order coming in 7th, 8th, and 9th respectively.
Brian DeLaBruere was the top dog for the Falcon boys in 6th place, followed by Alexander Cotnoir, a freshman who competed in his first varsity race, in 13th. Trevor Howell was the next one home in 14th. Sam Brunnette, another freshman, came in 16th. Alexander Charboneau was in 18th and Harry Foster was the last Falcon in, finishing 21st.
