NEWPORT - It took seven hours to retrieve Paul Lavalette's truck from the bottom of Lake Memphremagog last Sunday.
The truck was located at a depth of 25 feet. The first step in retrieving the truck was locating it. Will Jennison, owner of JD Company of Johnson, VT, said the truck's front end was buried in several feet of mud.
The truck was lifted from the bottom using air bags and pulled to a hole near the shore before being pulled out.
