SOUTH BURLINGTON–The last time North Country and South Burlington met in the play-offs at the Cairns Arena, the game went into double overtime and the Falcons came away victorious.
This time around, the game went into triple overtime, and unfortunately for the maroon and blue, the Rebels were able to avenge their 2012 loss, winning 3-2 to advance to the Division I state championship game against CVU.
Said NCU coach Andrew Roy, "They gave everything they had, and I could not have possibly asked for more, and I am very proud of the performance they gave.
"It's disappointing that we came up short, but the guys gave it their all, and I am happy with that."
Chris Bronson finished the game with sixty-two saves, as North Country wraps up their year with a 15-6-1 record.
