ORLEANSâ€“Always a tough competitor, the Montpelier Solons came into Lake Region and swept the Lady Rangers on Monday.
Annie Jones felled Judit Simon 6-0, 6-2 at the number one position.
Caitlyn Bushara kept the Solon train moving with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Brianna Fontaine.
Alexis Buicider brought down Shaylyn Beaton 6-1, 6-1.
Maddie Dunn had Alyssa Lawson's number, winning 6-0, 6-0, and finally Rhea Constantino went over Crystal Triebe by the same score.
The girls will seek a little revenge today, when they travel a few miles north to square off with long time rival North Country at 3:30.

JERICHOâ€“With a doubleheader of tennis on the docket, Mount Mansfield brought their A game to the courts Monday, going undefeated in all of their matches against NCU.
With each player set to play twice, the girls played matches to eight to determine the victor.
Starting with singles play, Celia Dunn topped Annie Arcoleo 8-0, 8-0 in the number one slot.
Julia Dunn took down Brianna Grimm by the same score at the 2 position.
After Lydia Picotte beat Danielle Therrien 8-0 in their first match, Therrien made it a little closer in the second, but ended up losing 8-2.
MMU's Anna Dunphy had two different opponents in the number four slot.
She would beat both Meira Buck and Kaitlyn Young 8-0.
Two players from each team took turns playing number five singles on Monday.
First up it was Haddie Webster besting Erica Tweed 8-2, followed Kristin Lick's 8-1 win over Kathryn Daigle.
NCU coach Jody Driscol utilized four different pairs in doubles play (Young and Daigle, Jacey Gray and Tweed, Hallie Lyon and Gray, Lyon and Buck) but could not find a winning a combo on this day.
The girls will go for their second win of the season when host Lake Region today at 3:30.
ENOSBURGâ€“Lake Region's boys golf team kept at their winning ways, taking home a first place finish in a four team match in at the Enosburg Country Club.
With a team score of 203, the Rangers bested host team Enosburg (247), as well as Lamoille (207) and Richford (no score).
Carl Oberg was tops with 45, just missing medaling by one stroke. Noah Racine and Dustin Bodette each shot a 49, and Derek Rodgers had a 67.
Medaling on the day were Lamoille's Lake Royer and Derek Vanat, who both shot a 44.
The boys will see Royer and Vanat again today when they travel to play at a Lamoille hosted match. Tee time is 3:30.
