In Search of Drowning Victim

NEWPORT - Rescue crews responded to the area around the WIKE tower on Lake Memphremagog in Newport for a reported drowning yesterday afternoon.
No official details were available as of press time.
Friends of the missing person, who is believed to be a Canadian tourist, were speaking with law enforcement officials.
Newport City Police, Vermont State Police, Newport City Fire Department and Ambulance Service, and U.S. Border Patrol officers were on hand.
