NEWPORT CITY - Two Vermont businessmen continue to be at odds over the redevelopment of the Waterfront Plaza.
Tuesday, Burlington developer Tony Pomerleau, owner of the waterfront plaza, reaffirmed his comments made to the press over the weekend that the deal between him and Jay Peak owner Bill Stenger, who has plans to raze the plaza and build a conference center, is not going to happen.
Stenger said that he understands Pomerleauâs deposit requirements and agrees it is his responsibility to complete it.
âI intend to get this fully back on track within the next few weeks,â said Stenger. âI donât think (the deal) is dead.
