Watch Out for Slippery Roads

NEWPORT CENTER, VT - It wouldn’t be December without early winter accidents as drivers become accustomed to icy road conditions.
Vermont State Police reported no injuries in a two-vehicle crash on the Collins Mill Road in Newport Center Sunday.
Senior Trooper Andrew Jensen reported that Danielle Gabucci, 16, of Westfield, lost control of her 1999 Toyota Camry while attempting to negotiate a sharp curve and collided with a 2000 GMC pick-up truck being operated by David Heath, 59, of Newport Center.
The truck sustained driver side damage and the Camry sustained front end damage. The roads were snow covered at the time of the crash.
