NEWPORT CITY – A Newport Center woman faces 20 years to life in prison for allegedly trying to kill her husband.
"I hope I killed him," were the words police say Jennifer Ahlquist, 40, used after they took her into custody Thursday.
Ahlquist was reportedly referring to stabbing Sean Ahlquist, 42, with a kitchen knife.
Ahlquist entered not guilty pleas and was held without bail, charged with attempted second degree murder, first degree aggregated domestic assault with a weapon, unlawful trespass, and simple assault.
