NEWPORT–With only one senior and four juniors, the North Country softball team is going to have to rely heavily on their younger players as they set out for the 2013 season.
"I think the beginning of the season is going to be a test for us," said head coach Leslie Dunn. "Hopefully once we get a few games we will get into our groove, but we are still really young.”
Dunn's crew will get a little pre-season test this weekend, weather permitting, when they head over to MVU for a softball jamboree on Saturday.
"I'm pumped," she said. "I can't wait to see how we stack up against the rest of the state."
The regular season will get underway Tuesday April 16th when the Falcons head down I-91 to pay a visit to the Lyndon Institute Vikings.
Game time is at 4:30.
