Landing Street Train Trestle Part of Rail Line Upgrades

NEWPORT CITY – The Central Maine and Quebec Railroad continues its effort at upgrading its rail system, which includes the trestle that crosses Landing Street.

NEKCA Gets Big Donation From Local Business

DERBY – Ronney Lyster, co-owner of North Point Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, helped Northeast Kingdom Community Action (NEKCA) kick off its holiday season food fundraiser campaign by donating $10,000 to the organization Friday.

Jam Session In Charleston Raises Money For School

East Charleston — Once a month jam sessions held at the Charleston Elementary School draw local talent for a good cause. Music teacher Anna Shalow said the event is in its second year and is used to raise funds for school activities.
