BRATTLEBORO–Despite putting over twenty shots on net, the North Country girl’s hockey team could only manage to score one goal in their 2-1 loss on Monday afternoon.
“We couldn’t put anything in, and everything we did seemed to be off,” said coach Claude Paul.
“We played down to their level and made another goalie look good.”
Brattleboro would stake themselves a 2-0 lead, and they made it stand up for the entire game.
The lone Falcon goal came in the third period when Whitney Bernier scored, with assists going to Jenna Moss and Savannah Alberghini-Giroux.
The loss moves NCU’s record to 7-3-1 while Brattleboro stands at 2-6.
Mikaella Doran had just under ten saves for the Falcons who return to action this evening at 5:00 against Northfield.
The boys follow the girls with a game against Colchester at 7:00.
