NEWPORT CITY – Two city men accused of holding a loaded gun to the heads of two different people and threatening to kill them were lodged at the Northern Correctional Facility over the weekend and were held for lack of bail, according to Newport City Police.
Mathew White, 20, and Jared Cross, 24, each face charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
Newport City Police Officer Corey Marcoux said the victims were able to get away without being harmed and reported the incident to police.
