NEWPORT CITY – The thunderous roar of engines and hundreds of cheering fans could be heard for miles around Lake Memphremagog for the annual Fire and Ice Radar Runs. Snowmobile enthusiasts with a need for speed raced on the lake behind the Eastside Restaurant Saturday for the annual event.
Typically the event brings out a few dozen racers and a couple hundred spectators.
