DERBY LINE – The Derby Line Trustees hosted a joint meeting with the Derby Select Board for an update of the Elm Street water project. Wayne Elliott, from Aldrich and Elliott, presented the latest version of the entire proposal, which includes upgrading the water pipe on Main Street.
The Main Street project will include running a 10-inch pipe to the village border, and add 6-inch lines on Patenaude Street and Mountain View Street, with lines looping back to the main line. Trustee Chair Keith Beadle said the Main Street upgrade is required by the state and a lack of action may result in fines and a shut down of the water system.
