Falcon Hockey Girls Headed to Division I

May 23, 2013

NEWPORT–Fans of the North Country girls hockey team who expected to see the team make another run at the Division II state title will have to adjust their plans, as the Falcons will not be in the running in DII.
They will be in Division I.
North Country coach Claude Paul confirmed the decision on Wednesday when we spoke at the track meet.
To say Paul was less than thrilled is an understatement, although he didn't have time for a quote.
Harwood and Rutland will also be making the jump to DI, while Hartford and Burr & Burton are heading down to DII.
