Brisard, Fontanella Win 2014 Arthur Mandros Tournament

August 17, 2014

ORLEANS-The 2014 Arthur Mandros Member Guest Tournament, played at the Orlenas Country Club, came to a strange conclusion on Sunday afternoon.
After a pair of chip-offs determined the final two teams, it took just three shots into the final hole to determine a winner as Al Brisard and Mark Fontanella were crowned this year's champions after their competition Mike Vinton and Allie Loukes conceded victory after a pair of out-of-bounds shots.
"Golf has been a challenge, and this is actually my first victory at any golf, so it is a very good day," said Brisard.

With the dominating performance by Brad Keselowski at Loudon in the rear view mirror, the 2014 Cup chase is nearing its stretch run.
The haves and have nots will be sorted out in the next few weeks, and the process may be just too much for some drivers and well within the means of several others.
Jimmy Johnson had a tough one in New Hampshire, blowing two tires early and crashing for a 42nd place finish, but the defending champ is set to make another run at the top prize, and as his record states, don’t ever bet against him.
It’s been a solid year for Jeff Gordon.
