Advocates Lobby Paid Family Leave

Governor Phil Scott will present a plan to the legislature for a volunteer payroll tax to pay for paid family leave. In 2018 the legislature passed a paid family leave bill funded by a 0.141 percent payroll tax. The governor vetoed the measure and the legislature was unable to override his veto.
