DERBY – The new voice on the radio that many are waking up with every day across the Kingdom is that of Val Davis, the new operating manger and morning host with WMOO. Davis has 40 years of broadcasting and technical experience with numerous radio stations and ABC television news. He is enthusiastic about the community.“There’s something magical about being part of peoples’ lives. I want to be here for the people,” he said. “There is wonderful community involvement,” Davis said about the changes at MOO 92 under the new ownership of NEK media mogul Bruce James.Radio stations can build community and revitalize an area, Davis explained.
