Even With The State’s High Unemployment Rate, The Region Has Plenty Of Jobs

The latest Vermont Department of Labor unemployment rate released September 20, using August figures, was 3.3 percent. The highest rate in the state was the Derby area labor market at 4.7 percent. For the same time last year, the rate for the Derby labor market was 5.0 percent. The White River Junction labor market area, at 2.7 percent was the lowest rate.
