Falcons Rally Back Again, Defeat Thunderbirds on Champney’s Home Run

To say the Champney sisters are making an impact in the early stages of the North Country Falcons’ season would be an understatement.
Late in their first game freshman Korey Champney went deep in the top of the seventh to lead the Falcons to victory against South Burlington.
In North Country’s home opener on Monday senior Kasey Champney would belt a three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Falcons a 5-3 lead over the MVU Thunderbirds, and the defense would do the rest as North Country picked up their second win of the season by that same 5-3 margin.
