Former NEK Man Makes Art With His Camera

A former Northeast Kingdom man is earning national recognition for the pieces of art he creates with his camera.

Jake Mosher, son of Phillis and the late author Howard Mosher of Irasburg, who lives near Bozeman, Montana, recently won National Wildlife Federation's National Photo Contest. Mosher estimated about 30,000 photographers enter the annual competition. This year, he was one of the top ten finishers in the organization's "Other Wildlife" category for a macro image he created of a jumping spider. Mosher took the image late last summer while eating lunch at the end of Yellowstone National Park. "I had a tiny jumping spider about half the end of a pencil eraser come on a piece plastic near where I was sitting." (Read more in the Express Wednesday)
