There is something about Vermont that attracts creative people.
Be it the rural setting, the rugged landscape, or the independent spirit, artists have been flocking to the green mountain state to ply their trade for years.
Local writer Jerry Johnson is one of those artists who made the trek north to settle in the Northeast Kingdom.
The Worcester, MA native started coming to Vermont in the 1970s after his father bought a farm in Albany, fell in love with the area, and knew that this is where he wanted to live.
We at the Express caught up with Johnson to find out a little about the evolution of his writing career, his background in the art, and a little more.
