The 2018 North Country track and field teams is missing some standout performers from last year’s squad due to graduation, but with over twenty freshmen joining the team, as well as a host of other athletes in other grades as well, head coach Tyler Alexander is looking forward to the upcoming season.
“We lost a big group of seniors that were really talented and that’s going to be hard to replace. But, we have twenty (plus) freshmen and they are motivated and willing to try a whole bunch of things. I think it’s a pretty athletic bunch, so I am hoping that they can fill that void,” said Alexander at practice on Monday.
