Runoff Turns Blake Street Into "Lake Street"

Runoff from Sloan Street and surrounding areas has frustrated Alton and Joan Willard for decades. On Monday evening they appeared before the Newport City council to ask the city to address the drainage problem once and for all. The solution may be expensive warns City Manager Laura Dolgin, but she empathized with the city residents, noting it's an issue of priorities. The council is also considering a three year contract with GovOffice to provide web services to the city. Read more in the Newport Daily Express.
