VEC Seeks Rate Increase In The New Year

This is the first hike the co-op has sought in three years.“While virtually all aspects of today’s cost of living continue to rise, we’ve controlled costs by improving the efficiency of our operations, leveraging technology, and seeking outside funding support from sources including “stimulus” funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, FEMA disaster relief, and an EDA grant award, CEO of VEC Dave Hallquist said in a statement. Please see The Newport Daily Express Tuesday for the complete story.
